General
The athletic stadium is the only facility of its kind that meets the standards to host international tournaments. Each year it hosts the Israeli Athletics Championship as well as the inter-Associations league and school tournaments organized by the Ministry of Education and the Israel School Sports Association.
The complex boasts an 8-lane main stadium, and a 6-lane, 400m training stadium. The stand has a 6,000 seat capacity.
The track was renovated in 2008, ahead of the Maccabiah Games, and has been certified a Class II track by the International Association of Athletics Federations, enabling the hosting of international tournaments, such as the European All-Around Championship in 2010.
The year 2009 saw the installation of one of the biggest and most sophisticated scoreboards in Israel, as well as special technologies such as a photo-finish system and display boards for field events.
In 2015 the training track was renovated.
This section also includes the offices of the Israeli Athletics Association, the Israel Sports Association for the Disabled, the Israel Sailing Association, the Israel Cricket Association, and the Israel Fencing Association.
